Classic relationship tragedy: The person who cares the least holds the power.
The other person is forced to jump through hoops set up by the other person to prove that their relationship is worth staying together for. It becomes a constant struggle of trying to impress. This can cause the person who "cares more" to experience self doubt, pressure to move faster than they are comfortable, or experience jealousy and trust issues.
For the person who "cares less", no longer does a relationship become about caring about another person, it becomes about how caring about image and "putting up" with someone, instead of addressing the underlying problems head on.

This video "The Economics of Sex" talks about the different reasons people enter relationship: economic security, social standing, etc. It approaches love in a purely objective way, taking almost all the feelings out.
All important reasons of course: but I believe as a 20 year old, we are still young enough to be in relationship that can be based on blind love, even if those relationships are flawed. My soul longs for rapture, and it's led me to feel distant from my peers. I'm seeking something more, my own love story perhaps. Respect should be present in any relationship, and this is why we need to forget the "caring less" paradigm and re-evaluate what we are looking for in our relationships.
Sure, sometimes this set of daydreams causes me to be a victim of lovesickness and an inability to let go of the past, but I have learned something important from every relationship I have been a part of, and that's a start.
